Released in 2019, the first Greedfall was a huge success for the studio Spiders and its publisher Nacon, as 2 million copies of the game had been sold. With this confidence, the two French companies decided to do it again and launch the production of a sequel, made official during the BigBen Week which was held yesterday at 3pm online. Greedfall 2: The Dying World takes up the mechanics introduced in the previous opus with a structure very much focused on choices and narration, but which will offer a more assertive gameplay and especially more tactical. We learn that the story of Greedfall 2 is set three years before the events of the first part and the adventures of De Sardet. We will take the commands of a native of Teer Fradee who has unfortunately been taken by force from his island to the continent of Gacane, the original land of the settlers. Of course, he will do everything to escape the yoke of his torturers, but in an intelligent way, using diplomacy, cunning or combat when necessary. We are promised a more ambitious sequel, bigger and more varied settings and many more new characters. Its release is already scheduled for 2024, which means that the production must have started recently.
